After graduating from the Ithaca College Conservatory of Music, Ryan started his professional performing career immediately. As the lead singer for the well-known Rochester band Nik and the Nice Guys, Ryan was fortunate enough to tour the country performing for thousands regularly. He then started the a cappella group "Sons of Pitches," touring predominantly the north east for over 10 years.
Aspiring to write a solo album, he did just that, and from then on decided to pursue a solo music career. Since that decision, he's become a Nashville recording artist, been fortunate enough to win multiple national vocal contests, and has opened for artists such as Darius Rucker/Hootie & the Blowfish, Charlie Daniels, Orleans, the Temptations, Frankie Valli, Aaron Lewis, Lady A, and Brad Paisley.
